2016 was the inaugural year for the Kat Hall Memorial Wiffle Ball tournament. At the time dubbed, the Hatboro Wiffle Ball Classic, the tournament began as most good ideas do - standing in a parking lot drinking beer. Upon hearing about a Wiffle Ball Tournament that took place in Sea Isle City, the idea seemed so good that we wanted to try it out here in Hatboro. Taking it one step further, we felt the need to donate all profits from the tournament to a local family in need.
In 2016, that family was the Buber Family when they found out that their 3 year old son had a brain tumor, requiring quick surgery to remove pressure from his brain. Nearly $ 9,000.00 was donated to the family.
The winner of inaugural Classic was Team Thunderlips.
In 2017, the Classic was renamed The Kat Hall Memorial Wiffle Ball Classic. . Donations from the 2017 Classic went to the Love for Lilly fund benefiting Lilly’s family after she had been diagnosed with Neurobastoma Cancer.
The winner of the 2017 tournament was the Newtown Braves who managed to capture the crown after their second place finish the year before.
